Skils’kin has been at the forefront of professional grounds maintenance for more than 15 years.
Under the AbilityOne program, Skils’kin is the primary grounds contractor at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington and at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Our $1.7 million annual contract at Fairchild covers approximately 1,400 acres. Since 2005, we have managed 747 acres at F.E. Warren (now a $1.68 million contract). In 2013, Skils’kin was awarded an additional two-year $1 million contract to transform parts of the base to native buffalo grass.
In 2007, Skils’kin was awarded a grounds maintenance contract for the General Service Administration in Spokane at the Thomas E. Foley Federal Building, U.S. Post Office and U.S. Border Patrol.
Through the AbilityOne Grounds program, Skils’kin employs 15 full-time employees and 100 seasonal employees.
We offer a full range of grounds maintenance services, including landscape management, mowing, trimming, weeding, aeration, fertilization, irrigation operations, green waste recycling and management, tree and shrub pruning, composting, turf renovation, and tree removal.
The AbilityOne Program helps people with disabilities find employment by working with nonprofit organizations that provide services to the U.S. government. Skils’kin also offers assessments, work-skill building, and worker attribute counseling.
