What Are Group Supported Employment Services?
Through Skils’kin’s GSE services, enrollees can learn valuable job skills in a group setting, with on-site training from an Employment Support Specialist at local businesses. After meeting with a Skils’kin representative through our robust Discovery process, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions and tell us about your goals, skills, and who you are as a person, we will guide you as you find the right job.
In addition to providing job training and support, Skils’kin will also help you apply for services through the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) and find resources through the Developmental Disabilities Administration and the Social Security Administration to help you obtain all the benefits available to you. We also make sure you understand how your earned income can affect your benefits.
When you are accepted into one of our Group Supported Employment settings, we will match you with a job coach who will help you with any issues you have as often as you need. Our goal is to help you become and remain independent and successful at work.
