Spokane’s Payee Services is closed to the public on Wednesdays, but you can leave a message by dialing (509) 209-2500 (ext. 3005, 3007, or 3008), and calls will be returned within one business day.

How can I check my account balance?


 
Contact your account manager by email, telephone or walk-in during office hours for specifics regarding your account. A copy of a ledger will be available to you upon request.

How do I request additional funds?


 
To request additional funds, complete the following expenditure request and contact your Representative Payee for budget approval.

When do I need to provide receipts?


 
You should provide receipts upon request by your payee for any expenses that occur outside of your regular budget. This includes but is not limited to the following: travel, airfare, computers, and cell phones. Any expense greater than $200 will require receipts.

 

I am moving to a new place, what do I need to do?


 
If you are moving to a new place, you will need to contact your Payee Representative and provide the new residence and/or rental agreement. You must also complete the Stop Rent Request form for any previous place of residence.

I want to buy a car. What do I need to do?


 
Contact your payee for budget approval. You may need to supply:

  • A copy of the title
  • A copy of the registration
  • Mechanic’s inspection
  • Vehicle history report
  • Vehicle order / bill of sale
  • Emissions test requirements (models 2008 or older)
  • Proof of insurability


Now that I’ve signed up for Skils’kin payee services, when will Skils’kin receive my benefit?


 
We will typically receive your benefit between 30 and 60 days.

How often are checks printed?


 
We print checks twice a day — 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
